Cushions & Repairs

Comfort.
Restored.

Sometimes it’s the seat that has lost its support, a spring that needs attention or a small repair that makes all the difference. Let’s look at what your furniture needs.

Cushions and fillings

Your favourite seat.
With its feeling back.

We replace cushion fillings and can advise on foam grades and comfort levels. Bring or send the existing covers where possible so they can be measured and templated accurately.

If you’re working from measurements, tell us the cushion shape, dimensions and how firm you’d like it to feel. We’ll explain the options and what we need to check.

Small jobs. Proper attention.

Care where
it counts.

01

Cushion replacement.

Refresh tired seat fillings and discuss support and comfort without replacing the whole piece.

02

Frames and springs.

Some repairs may be possible in your home. Structural or more extensive work may need the workshop.

03

Upholstery repairs.

Photographs help us assess local damage, wear and the suitability of a repair before recommending the next step.

First, a closer look

Show us
what needs care.

A photograph of the whole piece gives us context. Close-ups show the area that needs attention. Include the underside or cushion label if it helps explain the issue.

For cushions, a picture out of the furniture and approximate dimensions are useful. Please keep the original cover if you have it.

Advice from our workshop.
Every piece is different.

Ask us about your piece
Can you replace foam cushions?

Yes. We replace foam cushions regularly and can advise on different foam grades and comfort levels.

Ideally, we ask for the existing cushion covers so they can be measured and templated accurately. We can work from client-supplied measurements, although sizing would be at the client's own risk.

Can you repair frames and springs?

Yes. Many frame and spring repairs can be completed in the client's home, depending on the issue. More extensive work, such as replacing broken spring clips or carrying out structural repairs, may require the furniture to be taken to our workshop.

How do I know if my furniture frame is good quality?

The frame is the foundation of upholstered furniture. Signs of a quality frame include:

  • Solid hardwood construction
  • A heavy, sturdy feel
  • Proper joints rather than excessive staples
  • Minimal movement or flexing
  • Good spring systems
  • A structure that remains solid after many years of use

Longevity is often a strong clue. If a sofa has already lasted 20 years and remains structurally sound, that usually says a great deal about the frame underneath.
