Made to your brief

From a first sketch
to a favourite seat.

We work from sketches, inspiration photographs, architect drawings and interior design concepts. Bespoke sofas, statement chairs and seating can be made around the dimensions and character of your space.

Share the overall size, the look you have in mind and how the piece needs to feel. We’ll discuss the design, construction, fabric, details and practicalities before preparing your quotation.

01

Proportion.

Overall dimensions, seating height and depth, arm shapes and access all form part of the brief.

02

Comfort.

Consider how the furniture will be used and the level of support you prefer. We’ll talk through suitable fillings.

03

Character.

Piping, pleating, deep buttoning and studded details can change the feel of a piece. We’ll explain the effect on work and cost.

A considered process

Good ideas.
Carefully made.

A successful bespoke piece needs more than a reference photograph. Dimensions, fabric quantities, pattern repeats and delivery access need to work together.

Send what you have, even if it is only an early idea. We can help you understand what the next stage needs.

What affects the cost of bespoke furniture?

Bespoke furniture is made to order, so the final cost varies according to the design, materials and level of detail.

  • Size: larger pieces require more materials, fabric and labour.
  • Fabric choice: prices range from practical upholstery fabrics to premium designer materials.
  • Detailing: deep buttoning, piping, pleating, fluting and hand-studded finishes increase labour time.
  • Cushion fillings: foam, feather, fibre and specialist fillings have different costs and comfort characteristics.
  • Customer's Own Material: suitability, pattern repeats and wastage can affect the manufacturing process.
  • Delivery and installation: costs depend on size, access, location and on-site installation requirements.

Once we understand your specification, we can explain the options and prepare a more accurate quotation.

Can you match existing furniture?

Generally, yes. We can work to match the style of existing furniture, fabric colours, seating heights and overall proportions to help achieve a cohesive finish.

Can you make furniture to my own design?

Yes. Bespoke upholstered furniture is one of our specialities. We regularly work from client sketches, inspiration images, architect drawings and interior designer concepts.

Projects can include statement chairs, banquette seating, bespoke sofas and complete commercial seating installations.
